LOCTITE® 263 is a red, high-strength threadlocker liquid formulated for permanent locking and sealing of bolts, nuts, and studs. The primerless adhesive works across metal fasteners, including stainless steel, aluminum, and plated surfaces, and can be applied to most oil-coated fasteners in their as-received condition. It helps prevent threaded joints from loosening or leaking when exposed to shock and vibration.
Suited to demanding fastening requirements such as studs installed into motor housings, LOCTITE® 263 combines high locking strength with oil tolerance and temperature capability up to 182°C (360°F). The cured connection is intended to remain permanently secured during service; when disassembly is necessary, heat can be applied to enable removal.
