Goodwinds Composites’ solid round carbon rods combine low weight with high longitudinal stiffness for structural reinforcement and push-pull applications in drones and robotics. Manufactured by drawing unidirectional carbon fibers through resin and heated dies, the rods provide strength along their length and an alternative to metal components where structural mass is a key consideration.
The catalog range spans diameters of 0.020 to 0.750 inches, supplied in standard 48-inch lengths. Micro-pultruded rods from 0.020 to 0.156 inches in diameter have a matte surface that can be bonded after cleaning without sanding. Larger-diameter rods have a glossy finish that may require sanding before adhesive bonding.
Custom cutting and machining are available to meet specific assembly requirements.
