Goodwinds Composites’ solid flat carbon rods provide lightweight reinforcement where a rectangular profile is preferred. Also known as flat graphite bars, they combine unidirectional carbon fibers with resin for high longitudinal strength. The bars flex more readily through their thickness and resist bending more strongly edgewise, allowing their orientation to be selected to suit the structural requirement.
Catalog flat rods are supplied in 48-inch lengths, with widths ranging from 0.106 to 0.787 inches and thicknesses from 0.020 to 0.200 inches, depending on the selected profile. The portfolio also includes a 0.188 by 0.188-inch solid square rod.
