Fibreworks manufactures custom composite wings and stabilizers to meet the structural and aerodynamic requirements of each unmanned aircraft design. Capabilities include carbon- or glass-fiber aerodynamic skins, structural carbon-fiber components, control surfaces, live hinges and flexible control-surface interfaces. Metallic components and hardpoints can also be integrated for attachment to the airframe or installation of payloads and other equipment.
The engineering team can work from an existing design or assist with composite design, finite element analysis and design for manufacture. This enables the wing structure and production process to be developed around the customer’s performance, weight, cost and manufacturing requirements. In-house tooling and finish machining provide a streamlined route from initial test articles to repeatable production.
