IQ Prime

The IQ Prime (V04309) is a compact, cost-optimized Battery Management System (BMS) for small-to-medium battery packs. It supports configurations from 3S to 16S and combines cell-voltage sensing, temperature measurement, pack-current monitoring, protection, and 180 mA passive balancing. Integrated MOSFETs manage charge, discharge, pre-charge, and pre-discharge functions. Available variants use MOSFET voltage ratings matched to the selected battery chemistry and pack-voltage requirements.

IQ Prime provides continuous current handling up to 50 A and accepts as many as three NTC inputs for cell-temperature monitoring. Redundant voltage and thermal protections work alongside a heater drive with 5 A current sensing. An optional controllable secondary safety fuse strengthens the protection architecture, while onboard resistive current sensing supports pack monitoring. Microprocessor-based algorithms estimate state of charge and state of health. Integration options include a non-isolated CAN or SMBus interface, on/off control, and five-segment LED display output. Shutdown-mode quiescent consumption is below 10 μA.
