Collision Avoidance Modules
Dynautics collision avoidance modules enable SPECTRE Autopilot systems to support a range of USV operating requirements, from externally processed sense-and-avoid instructions to embedded onboard avoidance algorithms. Developed from Dynautics’ work in collision avoidance since 2010, the modules allow vehicle builders and operators to integrate obstacle data from AIS, radar, command-and-control links, and third-party processors while maintaining remote operator oversight.
Available modules include:
- Dynautics CA: Standard external interface that allows third-party collision avoidance processors to send avoidance instructions to SPECTRE. Operator flags support remote monitoring, enabling, and disabling.
- Dynautics CA-0: Internal SPECTRE algorithm that uses obstacle data sent via the command-and-control datalink, including fixed hazards and targets from surveillance radar.
- Dynautics CA-1: Embedded AIS-based module for open-ocean use, designed for compact, cost-effective deployment on slower unmanned surface vessels.
- Dynautics CA-2: External module using Navico 4G FMCW Radar with MARPA, supplied with USV-ready radar configuration and SPECTRE integration, with options for AIS or electro-optical sensor input.
