A33N Propulsion System

The A33N is an advanced single-cylinder propulsion solution that has been purpose-built to serve the needs of Group 2 UAS platforms, offering an excellent power-to-weight ratio and a low acoustic signature. Featuring a fully-calibrated electronic fuel injection (EFI) system and a 250W generator with start capability, this highly resilient system has passed the FAR33 durability profile, making it ideal for a variety of demanding mission profiles.

The engine's tuned cylinder has been additively manufactured with Power Bed Fusion, ensuring low part-to-part variability and improved material properties. With a low-friction crank train and minimally-restrictive exhaust, the system can output the power required for demanding payloads and challenging maneuvers such as aggressive climbing or sudden bursts of speed.

A servo-controlled cooling duct allows the A33N to keep within a narrow operating temperature range, resulting in both maximal efficiency and enhanced lifespan.

Thanks to its compact form factor and standard mounting flanges, the A33N fits easily within the package envelope of a wide range of UAS engine installations.
