Allengra's ALSONIC range of coolant flow meters is ideal for larger UAV platforms powered by internal combustion engines, providing operators and developers with valuable insight into cooling system performance and supporting effective thermal management. Utilizing ultrasonic flow measurement technology, the sensors monitor coolant flow without moving parts, and feature integrated temperature sensing with optional pressure measurement, allowing multiple operating parameters to be monitored within a single compact device.
Available in plastic, brass and stainless steel versions and in a range of sizes, the ALSONIC family provides a wide variety of options to suit specific platform requirements. The plastic variants offer the lightest and most cost-effective solution, making them particularly well suited to UAV applications where SWaP-C is an important consideration. All versions support water, water-glycol mixtures and other compatible liquids, and feature Pulse, 0–5 V and Modbus outputs for straightforward integration into onboard monitoring systems.
In addition to accurate flow measurement, the sensor range offers gas bubble detection and glycol concentration monitoring with automatic flow compensation, providing greater visibility into cooling system operation.
