Calian has expanded its precision positioning and resilient PNT portfolio with the release of three innovative antenna solutions engineered for high-demand geospatial and defence operations.
The lineup includes the Accutenna® 4 (AC4) pole mount antenna (AC4990PXF), the latest pole mount Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna (CR8894PXF+), and the AJ979XF+-MAR full-band anti-jamming antenna.
Designed and built in Canada, these products address the requirements of surveying, mapping, critical infrastructure, marine, autonomy, public safety, and defence users operating in complex radio frequency (RF) environments. Together, they cover the full spectrum of GNSS needs, ranging from centimetre-level surveying accuracy to assured positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) in interference-prone settings across Europe and worldwide.
The AC4990PXF antenna uses Calian’s proprietary Accutenna® 4 technology to deliver survey-grade performance in a lightweight, rugged form factor optimized for pole-mounted deployments. Built on a novel stacked composite patch element, the AC4 features full-band GNSS coverage, advanced interference mitigation, and superior phase centre stability.
The four-feed design minimizes multipath interference and maintains a phase centre variation of less than 3 mm, ensuring highly repeatable RTK, PPK, and PPP measurements. Additionally, the antenna integrates Calian’s eXtended Filtering (XF) technology to reject LTE and other unwanted RF signals.
To safeguard operations against intentional disruption, Calian has broadened its Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna lineup with the CR8894PXF+ pole mount model. Supporting dual-frequency architectures including L1/E1 + L2/E5bApp, it pairs flexible installation options with advanced anti-jamming protection for marine vessels, monitoring stations, and critical infrastructure.
The antenna offers mitigation of up to three jamming sources per band, integrated XF+ filtering for superior out-of-band rejection and cross-band isolation, multi-constellation support for GPS and Galileo, and real-time situational awareness messaging.
For mission-critical applications where severe interference mitigation is mandatory, the AJ979XF+-MAR full-band anti-jamming antenna provides comprehensive coverage across GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, GLONASS, QZSS, NavIC, and regional SBAS constellations. The unit combines Calian’s Low Elevation Angle Nulling Antenna (LEANA) technology with XF+ filtering, delivering more than 80 dB of out-of-band rejection against LTE and satellite communications interference.
The LEANA radiation pattern provides approximately 20 dB suppression of signals arriving between 0° and 15° elevation to mitigate low-angle ground-based jammers while maintaining satellite visibility. A high-gain 40 dB low-noise amplifier and dual-channel architecture maintain operational capability even if one signal channel experiences interference.
