Discover cutting-edge solutions from 4 leading global suppliersAgEagle Aerial Systems Inc, operating as EagleNXT, has launched its MicaSense RedEdge-P Triple sensor package, which sets a new standard for capability in drone-based aerial imaging.

The new system simultaneously mounts three of the company’s RedEdge-P camera models onto a single drone, offering enhanced functionality for precision agriculture, environmental monitoring, and geospatial mapping applications.
The RedEdge-P Triple captures 15 spectral bands simultaneously, using five narrow bands per sensor, paired with high-resolution panchromatic lenses. This configuration can achieve pan-sharpened outputs as fine as two centimeters resolution when operating at 60 meters altitude. With a capture rate of up to three images per second, the system allows for rapid and distortion-free data collection, providing insights for crop health monitoring, precision weed management, and large-scale habitat analysis.
The system is designed to be compatible with enterprise-grade drones, including the DJI M350 and M400 series, using SkyPort integration. It also leverages RTK for centimeter-level accuracy and CFexpress storage for streamlined data workflows, positioning it as a key tool for geospatial professionals.
Bill Irby, CEO of EagleNXT, stated, “The RedEdge-P Triple is redefining what is possible in superspectral imaging. It’s a leap forward, delivering unparalleled data density and actionable insights that drive a return on investment for our customers in high-growth sectors like precision agriculture and geospatial analytics. This empowers our customers to make smarter, data-driven decisions in agriculture, environmental research, and beyond.”
The RedEdge-P Triple builds upon the RedEdge-P Dual, which provides 10-band imaging, to unlock more advanced analytics for industries that require richer datasets. EagleNXT is showcasing the system’s real-time data and seamless drone integration capabilities at the Elevate UAV Conference in Florida, an event that focuses on enterprise and commercial drone operations for professional applications.
