A new strategic partnership between Meshmerize and 8devices aims to deliver robust, scalable, and reliable wireless mesh networking for drone swarms, autonomous robots, and other mission-critical industrial applications.
Meshmerize, a specialist in software wireless Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET), is collaborating with 8devices, an EU-based manufacturer of compact wireless modules and a Qualcomm Authorized Design Centre (ADC). The partnership will integrate Meshmerize’s advanced mesh networking technology with 8devices’ wireless modules to address the need for high-capacity, multi-hop communication in dynamic, high-density autonomous system environments.
The combined solution provides a powerful foundation for next-generation robotics, industrial automation, and aerial fleet coordination. Key features include all-in-one wireless modules, support for extended frequencies and industrial operating temperatures, and the ability to utilize narrow channels and high TX power to extend range up to 25 kilometers. The solution offers multi-hop, high-throughput, low-latency mesh networking, which is ideal for video and command and control applications, as well as edge computing and AI/ML support.
Sreekrishna Pandi, CEO of Meshmerize, stated, “Our partnership with 8devices brings Meshmerize’s networking stack to a broader ecosystem of developers and manufacturers who are building autonomous systems at scale.”
He added, “With their industry-leading wireless modules and our dynamic mesh, customers can now deploy drone swarms and robotic fleets with unprecedented reliability and flexibility in the 100’s.”
8devices’ portfolio of wireless modules, used by global hardware innovators, provides the advanced technology, integration, and design versatility needed for embedded systems. When paired with Meshmerize’s solution, customers gain plug-and-play access to multi-hop networking, real-time swarm coordination, and infrastructure-free operation.
Jonas Sabaliauskas, CEO at 8devices, added, “We’re excited to work with Meshmerize to empower engineers and developers with turnkey connectivity solutions. This collaboration makes it easier than ever for innovators in robotics, aerospace, and industrial IoT to bring their ideas to life, without worrying about connectivity bottlenecks.”
The partnership aligns with Meshmerize’s mission to make resilient networking available to all autonomous systems, connecting reliable hardware with intelligent communication software. The integrated technology is expected to accelerate the adoption of autonomous technologies globally, with applications spanning logistics, inspection, defense, and agriculture.
