Badland Batteries, a subsidiary of Packet Digital specializing in battery and power systems, has launched its commercial UAS batteries, offering 12S and 6S models, which have been available since October 13.
The 12S and 6S are high-voltage, 17,000mAh lithium-ion batteries that use pouch cell technology for high energy density and fast discharge rates. With an operating range of -20°C to 60°C, these battery solutions provide UAS operators with reliable performance across a wide range of environmental conditions.
Terri Zimmerman, CEO of Badland Batteries, stated, “Our engineering and manufacturing teams have powered some of the world’s most advanced projects with custom battery solutions. Now, we’re channeling that same innovation and top-tier performance into our new commercial-off-the-shelf 12S and 6S battery packs. Customers can count on these batteries to deliver Packet Digital’s renowned quality and reliability straight out of the box.”
Badland Batteries manufactures and ships these batteries from its Fargo, N.D. location. In an industry heavily reliant on Asia to deliver UAS battery solutions, the company produces an advanced battery line designed, built, and tested in the United States.
Plans are also underway to offer additional battery configurations to consumers with 23000mAh and 30000mAh 6S capacities. The 17000mAh 12S and 6S models are now available for purchase.
