This upgrade allows the DefendEye drone and its cloud-based command center to operate in any environment without the need for cellular coverage, while still streaming live high-definition video to operations centers and mobile users worldwide.

In addition to Starlink Mini, the system supports an optional 4G/5G modem, enabling seamless operation in urban, remote, and offshore environments. The tube-launched design allows responders to “launch and forget” in under 10 seconds, with the drone auto-deploying without requiring piloting skills.
The search drone features an ultra-light airframe that meets sub-250 g regulatory thresholds, avoiding the need for pilot licensing in most regions. A 2 TOPS neural processor enables onboard AI to detect, identify, track, and follow humans during day or night, in all weather conditions, without external control.

Encrypted HD video is streamed via the DefendEye Cloud for real-time viewing, alerts, and archival.
DefendEye is currently conducting live demonstrations with select customers and is accepting orders. Fully integrated systems and demo kits will begin shipping in September 2025. Priced at US $599 per drone, with no training or pilot overhead, the system allows agencies to deploy fleets at a fraction of the cost of traditional UAV solutions.
