1. GA-ASI Showcases Autonomous Air-to-Air Engagement with MQ-20

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) and General Atomics Integrated Intelligence, Inc. (GA-Intelligence) conducted a demonstration flight integrating technologies across multiple affiliates to showcase long-range kill chain effects, including an autonomous air-to-air engagement.
The flight integrated local and global sensor fusion to deliver real-time situational awareness and autonomous tasking to an airborne MQ-20 Avenger® through the Tactical Autonomy Core Ecosystem (TacACE), closing the kill chain and showcasing the system’s maturity and operational readiness for the warfighter.
2. Greensea IQ Partners to Expand AUGV Presence in Italian Defense & Maritime Sectors

Greensea IQ has appointed Rigel SrL as the exclusive sales representative in Italy for its Bayonet line of Autonomous Underwater Ground Vehicles (AUGVs). The partnership aims to expand Greensea IQ’s European presence and introduce its surf-zone and nearshore robotics solutions to the Italian market.
Bayonet AUGVs are designed for operations in the surf zone and shallow water. This allows for autonomous seabed mobility for applications including mine countermeasures (MCM), UXO detection, coastal surveys, payload delivery, and amphibious reconnaissance.
3. New Patent Advances Thrust Vector Control for Propeller Aircraft

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued a rare First Action Allowance to Aerofex in just under eleven months for its thrust vector control technology for propeller-driven aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The patent, number 12,371,154, titled “Thrust Vectoring Propulsor,” represents a significant advancement in aerial vehicle propulsion, control, and efficiency. Receiving allowance on the first office action, especially at the speed it was prosecuted, demonstrates its novelty and potential.
4. Amprius Delivers High-Performance SiCore® Cells for Tactical Drone Applications

Amprius Technologies, Inc. has delivered SiCore® battery cells to multiple advanced drone and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) customers from its Fremont, California pilot line.
These include 450 Wh/kg high-energy battery cells for Airbus subsidiary AALTO and balanced energy-and-power cells for drone manufacturers supporting tactical and commercial missions.
Amprius customer qualification often begins with prototype SiCore® cells built at the company’s Fremont facility, accelerating the transition from development to deployment for advanced applications.
5. New Ground Surveillance Radar Launched for Long-Range Target Detection & Surveillance

Meteksan Defense showcased its Retinar Ground Surveillance Radar (GSR), which is ready for operation, for the first time at the IDEF 2025 Fair, 22-27 July 2025.
The Retinar GSR is the latest member of the Retinar Perimeter Surveillance Radar Family, achieving significant successes both domestically and internationally. It can simultaneously detect slow-moving targets, like crawling or creeping humans, and fast-moving ones, such as vehicles. This makes the technology key for protecting borders and critical facilities.
