Ziyan’s Shadow Series Unmanned Helicopter has clinched the ‘Red Dot Best of the Best Award’ at the German Red Dot Design Award.
This marks another achievement for Ziyan, following previous accolades such as the 2024 German iF Design Award and the 2024 French Design Awards.
The Red Dot Award, originating from Germany, stands as one of the internationally recognized top honors in global industrial design. Renowned for its stringent selection criteria, it epitomizes the pinnacle of excellence in industrial design worldwide. As the ultimate honor in the design field, only a handful of entries receive the Best of the Best accolade each year, with a winning probability of less than 1%. Selected designs not only demonstrate outstanding performance within a specific domain but also showcase their contribution to driving and advancing the entire industry.
This award acknowledges the innovative strength of the design team and also recognizes Ziyan’s brand influence on the international industrial design stage. The body shape of the Shadow Series unmanned helicopter draws inspiration from marine animals such as the dugong and seahorse. Its fluid body lines not only embody the pursuit of technology and simplicity but also convey a sense of friendliness. Since its clear functional positioning from the outset, the design team has established a style direction centered on technology, simplicity, and friendliness, adhering to Louis Sullivan’s design principle of “form follows function”. Every design detail is carefully polished to ensure that every curve and surface is just right, without excessive embellishment.
