TE Connectivity MIL-SPEC connector covers

TE Connectivity has introduced a new line of DEUTSCH 38999 series IV metal protective connector covers, which are designed to give manufacturers of aerospace and defense systems such as UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and UGVs (unmanned ground vehicles) an alternative to more expensive commercial versions.

The metal protective connector covers are designed to help protect unmated connectors from debris and fluids such as rain, sand, jet fuels, hydraulic fluids, dust and other potentially damaging substances. Available in five plating configurations and eight shell sizes, the covers offer a rugged, lightweight environmental sealing solution for the connector.

The DEUTSCH 38999 series IV metal protective connector covers are qualified to MIL-DTL-38999 Series IV, D38999/51 and D38999/52 slash sheets.

Scott Miller, product manager for TE’s Aerospace, Defense and Marine division, commented: “Because we are offering these covers through our channel partners, customers can purchase them in smaller quantities and expect shorter lead times.”
