GeoApp UASHexagon Geospatial, a provider of geospatial infrmation solutions, has announced the official launch of GeoApp.UAS, the company’s latest app that enables the fully-automated processing of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) data on the cloud. The app was unveiled at HxGN Live Hong Kong 2015.

Part of the M.App Portfolio, GeoApp.UAS shifts the burden of UAS data processing to the cloud, freeing the operator to focus on data collection. With an intuitive workflow, GeoApp.UAS enables robust photogrammetric processing of UAS data, creating content such as image mosaics and 3-D point clouds from the raw images.

“Although UAS use has skyrocketed, the photogrammetric processing of associated data has remained highly intensive, and requires expensive, complex, and stationary desktop software environments,” said Mladen Stojic, President of Hexagon Geospatial. “GeoApp.UAS is transforming the way organizations can rapidly process this data using the computational power of the cloud.”

Developed by Hexagon Geospatial’s partner, GEOSYSTEMS GmbH, GeoApp.UAS is a complete end-to-end solution that enables users to upload UAS data into M.App Chest, Hexagon Geospatial’s cloud-based hosting environment. A simple dashboard provides a clear and comprehensive view of the workflow, from data ingestion through processing, and all the way to delivery.

“Ultimately, GeoApp.UAS makes it easier for data collectors to process their data and to deliver information to their customers,” added Stojic.

Hexagon Geospatial has previously announced the introduction of the GeoApp.UAS early access program, which provided users the opportunity to test out the streamlined UAS data processing workflow.
