MOST (Autonomous Vessels) Ltd, a leading supplier of autonomous wave propelled vessels, have launched the brand new 5m AutoNaut design at Ocean Business this week.

The new design boasts a vast increase in capacity, with 500 litres and 130 kg available for an extensive range of sensors dependent on a customers requirements. High Res Multi Beam Echo Sounders (MBES), ADCP, Towed Acoustic Arrays and camera systems are all possible and can be integrated into the new hull.

The increase in length allows for an increase in PV Panel capacity, Mast Height (increasing local comms and camera ranges) and will make high broadband satellite comms available to send compressed HD still and video images back in near real time.

The wave foil technology was proven in the NOC MASSMO mission in October / November 2014 125 nautical miles South West of the Isles of Scilly. A 3.5m AutoNaut endured storm force 10 conditions and over 7m significant wave height, whilst transmitting data back in near real time to scientists in the UK via satellite comms.
