Colombian Ministry of Defense Orders UAV Systems

AERTEC Solutions logoAERTEC Solutions, an aeronautical engineering company, and In-Nova Group, a multinational technological innovation firm, have been awarded a contract to supply the Ministry of Defense of Colombia with two complete UAV systems.

Colombia’s Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation is currently working on increasing the Ministry of Defense’s capabilities in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, and has identified as immediate goals the transfer of knowledge relating to unmanned systems and the acquisition of UAV technology for adaptation to the country’s needs.

Following a recruitment process that took place over a year, AERTEC Solutions and In-Nova Group were selected to develop and manufacture two complete unmanned systems, including launch platform and autonomous navigation system.

The project will be undertaken within civilian and military facilities in Colombia and also in Spain, through the existing collaboration agreement between the In-Nova Foundation, a non-profit organization of In-Nova Group, and the Secretariat of State for Defense of the Spanish Ministry of Defense.
