F5 Robotics Develops New Low-Cost HD ROV

The DiveBot ROV

F5 Robotics has announced the development of an HD ROV camera, the DiveBot.

With full 3 channel control and an HD 720p camera, the DiveBot is a ready to use ROV that can be powered from a 12V battery for continuous use. The easy to use handheld controller is IP67 waterproof and includes an integrated 7” daylight viewable LCD screen, Dual joysticks and composite video out.

Three versions will be available:

  • DIY Development Platform (the ROV chassis and thrusters): aimed at the homemade ROV market
  • Standard Version: fully wired with camera and 50’ tether with controls and video out to use your own screen
  • Deluxe Version: as the standard version but including a 150ft tether, daylight viewable 7” LCD and a Waterproof pelican case.

All versions will be available with tether upgrades up to 500 feet and aux lighting. While still in pre-production, F5 Robotics are now taking advance orders.
