Deploying UAVs for survey and mapping missions has become a highly competitive and significant business segment within the UAV industry. The challenge in this segment of the industry is the precise and accurate positioning of the imagery collected to survey grade requirements. Furthermore, with the competitive nature of this market segment, precision and accuracy need to be achieved in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Even though other methods such as Aerial Triangulation or PPK methods can be effective, Direct Georeferencing (DG) is rapidly becoming the preferred method due to the cost savings that can be achieved with DG.
