The Kongsberg Geospatial IRIS software platform is being applied by our clients to their remote operations center use cases for the safe control and monitoring of BVLOS missions. IRIS enables the ingestion and monitoring of a wide variety of airspace management data feeds including local radars, ADS-B, micro-weather and ANSP track feeds. Within this fused airspace picture, IRIS provides for the mission planning and real-time control of fleets of aircraft and offers a “many-to-one” control capability for simultaneous mission control of aircraft. IRIS provides cues, alerts and warnings to enable the operator to manage the mission within the larger ecosystem and intervene only when needed. Providing a single user interface within the control center to manage disparate types of aircraft reduces operator training and improves efficiency and safety.
