Rob Garth, Business Unit Director, Unmanned Systems, Domo Tactical Communications
Rob Garth is Director of the Unmanned Systems Business Unit at DTC, a Codan Company. DTC is a world leading wireless communication product developer and manufacturer operating across Unmanned, Military, Law Enforcement and Broadcast markets. Previously Rob was DTC’s Director of Products and was responsible for the very successful BluSDR™ Unmanned communication products as well as delivering innovative solutions for law enforcement surveillance and soldier systems, including the development and support of a large-scale Mesh-based soldier radio solution for the US Army and supporting the Australia C4EDGE programme.
In recent years, Rob has gained extensive experience of delivering IP Mesh and other tactical wireless solutions which can survive and indeed thrive in the harshest of real-world battlefield environments, including significant exposure to current conflict zones.
A Chartered Engineer with a Master’s degree in Engineering and an early career in radio frequency design, Rob was previously Technical Director and co-owner of Wood & Douglas Ltd, an SME developer and manufacturer of radio telemetry and wideband data link solutions for military and critical infrastructure markets. After leading the sale of Wood & Douglas to Ultra Electronics in 2013, Rob then acted as Head of Technology for Ultra-CIS before joining DTC in 2017.
Sam Medler, Sales Account Manager, Domo Tactical Communications
Sam Medler is a DTC Account Manager specialising in unmanned platforms – a 10 year veteran of special projects, technical services, and client services, he joined DTC when it released the first generation Mesh waveform technology. Sam has supported, demonstrated, integrated and trained people to use it ever since. Now up to 17 years at DTC, Sam manages key UXV accounts.
