  • SWaP Surveying

LiDAR surveying using a drone or a UAV has many advantages. Surveyors can cover larger areas, quicker, and they have the flexibility to reach areas traditional surveys cannot.

It does however present new challenges, particularly around payload size, weight and power (SWaP).

Traditionally these requirements have been difficult to overcome. However, as technology advances, so do the possibilities for this up and coming surveying technique.

Join OxTS Product Engineer, Jacob Amacker, at 14:00 hrs (GMT) on Monday, 28th February to learn more about surveying with SWaP constrained payloads including:

    • The components required to build a SWaP constrained payload
    • Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and why this matters
    • Georeferencing LiDAR data and the results you can achieve
