Sky-Drones & Cambridge Sensoriis ARC Radar Flight Testing

Sky-Drones has welcomed a team from Cambridge Sensoriis to conduct flight testing of ARC radar on Sky-Drone’s X700 multicopter.

Cambridge Sensoriis’ Micro Active Radar Cooperating (ARC) on moving vehicles can support relative positioning during the approach and landing phases of drone flight.

ARC radar provides a localisation capability based on direct radar range measurement that is independent of satellites and invulnerable to jamming mechanisms. Radar is also unaffected by poor visibility, lighting, and bad weather, unlike camera-based localisation.
