In a world first, the Israeli MOD, Elbit Systems and the IAF have successfully completed a series of drone interception tests using an airborne, High-Power Laser system. Watch the video:
During the demonstration, a High Power Laser system was installed on an aircraft and tested in a number of scenarios. It successfully intercepted and destroyed all UAVs launched during the test at a variety of ranges and flight altitudes.
