UTAC 2026

UTAC 2026 is a drone- and robotics-focused training event where public safety, government, and defense operators gather to learn best practices, establish procedures, and gain experience with drone and robotics technology, as well as uncrewed aerial, ground, and maritime systems, alongside augmenting technology and tactical solutions.

The event includes hands-on daytime and nighttime training scenarios, technology workshops, live demonstrations, and expert-led presentations. UTAC 2026 is a hyper-realistic training event with a focus on practical application.

Now in its 7th annual edition, UTAC focuses on the standardization and validation of the tactical application of advanced drone, robotics, and technology solutions.

What’s On at UTAC 2026?

UTAC-X

UTAC-X is an experimental capability assessment developed as a standalone, operator-focused technology experiment supporting warfighter-driven innovation around unmanned systems and augmenting capabilities.

It is a no-cost, purpose-built experiment that augments the annual three-day UTAC immersive training event. U.S. warfighters and NATO partner forces can attend both UTAC 2026 and UTAC-X or participate only in UTAC-X.

Open only to U.S. and NATO partner forces, UTAC-X provides a controlled environment for assessing technologies and operational concepts through daytime and nighttime scenarios.

Participation in UTAC-X is not dependent on attendance at UTAC 2026. Defense operators may participate in UTAC-X only, attend UTAC 2026, or take part in both.

UTAC x NIST

UTAC 2026 includes NIST-developed and NIST-proctored standardized aerial drone testing to evaluate sUAS pilot proficiency.

The tests measure the reliability of the drone and remote pilot to perform essential mission tasks. A series of test lanes enables users to evaluate a range of missions.

Participants can complete NIST-proctored training lanes and leave with a standardized certification of sUAS pilot proficiency.
