EUDEX Conference 2028

EURO DEFENCE EXPO (EUDEX) 2026 is a new international trade fair focused on security and defense technologies for land forces operations. Taking place at Messe Essen from September 22–25, 2026, the event will focus on European collective defense, military capability development, and operational readiness across multiple domains.

EUDEX itself forms the military and defense-focused core of a much wider integrated security platform taking place simultaneously at Messe Essen. Alongside EUDEX, visitors will also have access to security essen, the established trade fair for civilian security and critical infrastructure protection; the NATO Joint Air Power Competence Centre (JAPCC) Annual Conference, focused on NATO air and space power capabilities; and the EUDEX Conference by CPM, a strategic conference examining European defense capability and readiness.

Together, the four parallel formats create a combined environment where industry, armed forces, governments, NATO representatives, authorities, researchers, and international delegations can engage across both military and civilian security sectors.

EURO DEFENCE EXPO 2026 will take place from September 22–25, 2026.

The EUDEX Conference by CPM will take place from September 23–24, 2026.

The EUDEX Conference by CPM will be held under the theme I³ – Information. Improvisation. Innovation., with the focus From Battlefield Lessons to European Readiness.

Information

This theme covers ISR, space-based capabilities, cyber, targeting, command and control, and sensor-to-shooter integration as part of operational superiority.

Improvisation

This theme will examine battlefield adaptation, rapid force innovation, drones, UGVs, and pragmatic solutions developed in operational environments.

Innovation

This theme focuses on transforming lessons learned into deployable capability through procurement reform, industrial scale-up, technological integration, and faster delivery cycles.

EURO DEFENCE EXPO Exhibition Areas

The exhibition will feature technologies and solutions across:

Vehicles and large equipment, unmanned systems and robotics, reconnaissance and surveillance, command and communication systems, AI and software, logistics and support, NBC defense, training and simulation, and research and development.

EUDEX Conference by CPM

The strategic conference program will focus on European defense capability, readiness to 2030, financing and procurement, industrial scaling, resilience, and Europe’s role within NATO.

NATO JAPCC Annual Conference

The NATO Joint Air Power Competence Centre Annual Conference will take place alongside EUDEX, bringing together more than 400 decision-makers from over 30 NATO member states. The conference will focus on the future of air and space power, emerging technologies, and cooperation between military, government, and industry.

Security Essen

Running in parallel with EUDEX, security essen will focus on civilian security, critical infrastructure protection, cybersecurity, drones and counter-drone technologies, robotics, surveillance, emergency management, and access control technologies.

Conferences and Networking Events

The wider event program will include Embassy Day, Civil-Military Cooperation Day, international delegations, networking events, and specialist conferences including the European Drone Conference and the DNS Conference focused on Digital Networking Security.

Speakers

The event will bring together senior military representatives, NATO officials, government decision-makers, industry leaders, researchers, and defense capability experts across the military and security sectors.
