DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens 2027

Defence Exhibition Athens (DEFEA) 2027 will return as a high-profile international platform for the defense and security industry.

Hosted at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens and held under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence, the event presents systems and technologies across land, naval, aerospace, national and cyber defense domains.

Positioned at the crossroads of Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean, and North Africa, DEFEA serves as a strategic hub for defense diplomacy, procurement insight, and transcontinental collaboration. The event is organized by ROTA Exhibitions Greece, in cooperation with SEKPY, the Hellenic Manufacturers of Defence Material Association.

The exhibition provides a platform for engagement between global defense leaders, technology providers, and institutional representatives. The program includes ministerial roundtables, official country presentations, and live briefings from exhibitors.

In 2025, over 492 B2B and B2G meetings were arranged via a dedicated matchmaking platform, leading to co-production deals, joint ventures, and strategic agreements. The event also hosted 106 official delegations, 25 of which were led by Ministers and Deputy Ministers.

Conferences & Workshops

Attendees will gain access to exclusive forums and expert-led sessions exploring topics such as artificial intelligence, cyber-defense, dual-use innovation, and space technologies. High-level events are organized in cooperation with European institutions and NATO bodies, providing insights into evolving security demands and procurement strategies.

DEFEA Academy

The DEFEA Academy provides a dedicated space within the exhibition for workshops, product demonstrations, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Military officers and industry leaders host interactive mentoring and thematic events aimed at fostering technical understanding and innovation.

DEFEA attracts a distinguished international audience. In 2025, the event welcomed 436 exhibitors from 37 countries, along with 30,137 visitors from 92 nations. Delegates included:
