Integrated VTOL UAS: From Nano Platforms to Heavy-Lift Autonomous Rotorcraft
APSCON 2026, presented by the Airborne Public Safety Association (APSA), will bring together public safety aviation professionals for a week of education, training, networking, and exhibits focused on airborne operations, emergency response, aviation safety, and unmanned systems.
Taking place from July 13-17, 2026 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the event combines conference courses, technical sessions, networking activities, and an exhibition showcasing public safety aviation technologies and services.
The event also includes the concurrent APSCON Unmanned program, which focuses on public safety drone operations, UAS training, and counter-drone measures. APSCON and APSCON Unmanned are conducted as separate educational events while sharing the same exhibit hall.
Conference sessions and exhibits will cover operational requirements across law enforcement aviation, search and rescue, emergency management, aeromedical operations, aviation safety, and unmanned aircraft systems.

APSCON 2026 will take place from July 13-17, 2026.
Pre-event registration activities begin on Sunday, July 12, while conference courses and training sessions start on Monday, July 13. The exhibit hall opens on Wednesday evening, with conference programming and networking events continuing through Friday, July 17.
Conference sessions and training programs will examine a range of public safety aviation and unmanned systems topics. Areas of focus include public safety drone operations, UAS program management, counter-drone measures, Drone as First Responder (DFR) programs, fixed-wing operations, homeland security, search and rescue, emergency management, aviation safety, and legal and regulatory matters.
Additional discussions and technical sessions will cover aeromedical operations, night operations, traffic reconstruction, training program management, and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
The concurrent APSCON Unmanned program will provide additional training and conference content dedicated specifically to public safety UAS operations and training.
APSCON 2026 will feature multi-day training courses, conference sessions, networking events, technical presentations, and a shared exhibition focused on public safety aviation operations and technologies.
Attendees will have access to specialized courses including the Aviation Safety Officer Course, Aviation Unit Manager Course, Fixed-Wing Operator Course, Tactical Flight Officer-Airborne Thermographer Certification Course, Flight Instructor Refresher Course, and Safety Management Systems Course.
The APSCON Unmanned program will include dedicated drone operations training focused on drone unit management, unmanned aircraft systems operations, Drone as First Responder programs, and counter-drone measures.
The shared exhibit hall will feature exhibitors showcasing products, services, and technologies for public safety aviation and unmanned operations. The event schedule also includes aircraft fly-in and fly-out activities connected to the conference program, along with aircraft displays as part of the exhibition environment.
TECH TALK presentations will take place during the exhibition days, offering technical briefings and presentations connected to the exhibition program.
Networking activities scheduled throughout the week include the Exhibit Hall Opening Reception sponsored by Bell Textron, the Teledyne FLIR Vision Awards event, attendee networking lunches, and additional evening social events.
APSCON 2026 is intended for professionals involved in public safety aviation and unmanned operations, including public safety pilots, tactical flight officers, aviation administrators, unit commanders, UAS operators, instructors, trainers, government officials, mechanics, aeromedical professionals, and industry experts.
