The KG-250X is a low-SWaP NSA-certified Type 1 Inline Network Encryptor (INE), designed to provide secure IP encryption for up to TS/SCI communications with up to 200 Mbps aggregate throughput. Incorporating state-of-the-art cyber defense technologies, including Viasat's Trusted Cyber Sensor (TCS) network monitoring service, it is ideal for protecting the transmissions of tactical UAVs and unmanned systems as well as dismounted and mobile applications.
Embedded Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) capabilities allow the KG-250X to route secure traffic more efficiently while reducing network overhead. The unit also offers pass-through Layer 2 traffic using Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN)/Ethernet tunneling over Layer 3 networks.
The rugged HAIPE device is MIL-STD-810G-compliant and designed to withstand high-altitude airborne environments. It is available with copper-only interfaces or as a variant that allows mixed fiber and copper connectivity.
