SpectraLoc

QuadSat's SpectraLoc airborne electronic warfare payload is designed to provide advanced passive RF sensing, detection, direction finding and geolocation capabilities from UAVs and other unmanned platforms. Developed for modern electromagnetic spectrum operations, the compact payload enables operators to detect, characterize and locate hostile emitters, including radar systems, air defense assets and jamming devices, while maintaining significant stand-off distances from potential threats. The system supports a wide range of ELINT missions and can detect targets at distances of up to 150 km, with performance dependent on link budget and operational conditions.

Designed as a portable, platform-agnostic solution, SpectraLoc can be integrated onto fixed-wing UAVs, VTOL platforms and multirotor aircraft without increasing RF signature. The payload's lightweight form factor with weight of approximately 3 kg minimizes impact on platform performance while providing wide frequency coverage across the 2 to 18 GHz range. This broad coverage allows operators to detect and analyze a diverse range of emitter types, providing valuable intelligence across complex and contested electromagnetic environments.

By collecting RF data from an airborne vantage point, SpectraLoc extends spectrum awareness beyond the limitations of traditional ground-based systems. The solution transforms electromagnetic activity into actionable intelligence, enabling operators to build a more complete understanding of the battlespace and identify threats that may otherwise remain undetected. Unlike approaches that rely on multiple separate systems and processing stages, SpectraLoc handles the full sensing chain within a single integrated solution, delivering usable detection, direction-finding and geolocation data for rapid operational decision-making.
