The DA 70 EFI MIL SPEC UAV Engine from HFE International is a military-qualified 70 cc engine equipped with an electronic fuel injection system that has accumulated over 67,000 flight hours across more than 700 aircraft in varied operational environments worldwide.
Tested to operate at altitudes up to 20,000 ft and temperatures from –10 °F to 120 °F, the system has been evaluated under the majority of laboratory methods specified in MIL-STD-810, confirming its readiness for demanding defense and aerospace missions.
Electrical options include a 200 W power management unit (PMU) with outputs of 12–15 VDC at up to 200 W and 4.8–7 VDC at up to 42 W, with an optional 24 V configuration. A 500 W starter-alternator is also available, directly driven from the crankshaft, and compatible with a 500 W PMU featuring an integrated starter controller for remote engine start.
The PMU provides outputs of 24–28 VDC at up to 350 W, 12–15 VDC at up to 108 W, and 4.8–8 VDC at up to 42 W. All systems are configurable with LiIon, LiPo, LiFePO4, SLA, NiCad, NiMH, and lead acid batteries, with custom alternator configurations available upon request.
