LOCTITE® SF 7649
LOCTITE® SF 7649 is a solvent-based activator formulated to accelerate the curing of LOCTITE® anaerobic adhesives and sealants. It prepares bonding surfaces prior to adhesive application and is particularly useful on passive metals, inactive substrates, and assemblies with comparatively large bond gaps where anaerobic cure may otherwise proceed more slowly.
The activator also supports curing in low-temperature conditions below 15°C (60°F), helping improve processing reliability when ambient conditions are less favorable. By promoting faster anaerobic cure across challenging surfaces and wider gaps, LOCTITE® SF 7649 can be used to prepare components for subsequent threadlocking, retaining, sealing, and related adhesive operations.
