LOCTITE® 402 is a single-part instant adhesive developed for rapid fixturing and reliable bonding across plastic, rubber, and metal substrates. Its formulation maintains performance at operating temperatures up to 135°C (275°F), making it suitable for small-component assembly, high-speed production processes, and quick repair tasks where both fast handling and resistance to heat and aging are required.
The adhesive is ISO 10993 biocompatible and can be used in medical device assembly. Difficult-to-bond materials including PP, PE, and PTFE can be joined with LOCTITE® SF 770 primer, or LOCTITE® SF 7701 for medical-device applications. LOCTITE® 402 also incorporates reduced hazardous ingredients while retaining fast fixture characteristics and high-temperature capability.
