LOCTITE® 401 is a single-part instant adhesive designed for rapid assembly where high tensile or shear strength and even load distribution are required. Its surface-insensitive formulation bonds close-fitting components across a broad selection of similar and dissimilar materials, including metals, rubber, ceramics, wood, cardboard, and most plastics. It is also suited to porous substrates such as paper, leather, fabric, and timber.
For materials that are typically more difficult to bond, including PP, PE, and PTFE, LOCTITE® 401 can be used with LOCTITE® SF 770 primer. The adhesive combines fast fixturing with very high bond strength on closely matched parts, while its formulation uses reduced hazardous ingredients to support improved occupational safety in industrial assembly environments.
