The Vision4ce CHARM50 is a standalone video processing board developed for low-SWaP embedded imaging systems where compact dimensions and minimal processing delay are required. Measuring 50.5 x 37 x 23 mm and consuming less than 10 W, the module uses the NXP i.MX95 processor with multicore ARM architecture and integrated AI/ML acceleration. It can operate Vision4ce FrameWorkx software together with Chess’ DEFT tracking algorithm and AI target classification, supporting smart cameras, seekers, airborne platforms, and other embedded vision configurations.
Two configurable video channels accommodate either digital SDI or analog formats through a selectable mezzanine card, including SD-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, PAL, and NTSC inputs.
For integration into uncrewed and airborne systems, CHARM50 provides Gigabit Ethernet as its main host connection, supplemented by RS232, four RS422 interfaces, USB 2.0 OTG, two general-purpose inputs, and two general-purpose outputs.
Supported digital resolutions and frame rates extend from 480i60 and 576i50 through 720p and 1080p formats at multiple rates up to 60 fps. The board operates from a +5 VDC supply with ±5% tolerance and is specified for operating temperatures from -40°C to +71°C, enabling deployment in compact defense and airborne imaging architectures where processing, tracking, classification, and video interfacing must be consolidated within a small hardware footprint.
