KARAT 100 & 200 is an integrated infrared search and track system designed for manned and unmanned fighter aircraft, fixed-wing aircraft, rotary-wing aircraft and UAVs. The system provides passive air-to-air search, detection and tracking using high-performance LWIR imaging.
The system features a faceted design for reduced radar cross-section, and can be aligned with the platform line of sight. It offers adjustable search volume, automatic detection and tracking within the search area, single and multiple target tracking, and narrow or wide fields of view.
KARAT can provide angular position information and passive distance estimation for detected targets, as well as air-to-air missile guidance assistance. Digital video output, advanced image processing and sensitive stabilization further enhance its suitability for airborne ISR and combat aircraft integration.
