ARK DIST MR

The ARK DIST MR is a low-SWaP, USA-built, NDAA-compliant mid-range distance sensor module with support for DroneCAN and MAVLink connection options. It features the Broadcom AFBR-S50LX85D Time-of-Flight (ToF) distance sensor with a typical measurement range of up to 50 meters. Designed to operate in ambient lighting conditions of up to 200k lux, the sensor utilizes a laser with an opening angle of 2° x 2°.

The module supports UAVCAN firmware updating and is compatible with ROS2. It includes two Pixhawk Standard CAN connectors (4-pin JST GH), a Pixhawk Standard UART connector (6-pin JST GH), and a Pixhawk Standard Debug connector (6-pin JST SH).

The rangefinder’s compact form factor measures 2.8 x 2 x 1.4 cm, with a total weight of 4 g. Power requirements are 5V, with an average current draw of 78mA and a maximum of 84mA. Included with the module are a 4-pin Pixhawk Standard CAN cable and a 6-pin Pixhawk Standard UART cable. LED indicators are also integrated.

Specifications:
