OEM CW & Pulsed Laser Diode Driver

The AMI Model 789 OEM CW and Pulsed Laser Diode Driver is a high-efficiency, current-regulated buck converter designed to deliver precise, programmable drive current to floating laser diode loads. Suitable for both continuous wave and pulsed operation, it provides adjustable output up to 50 A with compliance voltages reaching 45 V, ensuring stable, low-ripple power delivery. Integrated protection features include open- and short-circuit detection, adjustable current limiting, and temperature monitoring, improving operational reliability across demanding optical and unmanned applications.

Mounted on a thermally optimized aluminum baseplate, the Model 789 requires minimal cooling even under high-power conditions due to its 97% efficiency. The compact, lightweight design allows easy OEM integration where space and thermal control are critical. The driver supports up to 1.5 kW average and 2.25 kW peak output power, with the ability to connect multiple units in parallel for higher-current configurations.
