Ondas has introduced the Dronebuster REACH, a long-range variant of its non-kinetic counter-unmanned aircraft systems family, with the initial unit contracted for delivery to the Office of Naval Research following customer acceptance testing.

The Office of Naval Research will deploy the system to support specialized counter-unmanned aircraft systems research, evaluation, and testing activities. Designed to provide a non-kinetic defeat option for airborne engagements that originate outside the range of traditional handheld effectors, REACH delivers electronic attack techniques at extended ranges and higher power levels. Its core capabilities include command-and-control disruption, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) denial, and optional Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) electronic attack.

“Operators keep telling us the same thing: by the time a drone is inside handheld range, they have already lost time they cannot get back,” said Ryan Hartman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ondas Sentinel. “REACH pushes the engagement out, gives them room to make a decision, and does it with a system our customers already know how to use.”

Engineered to operate as part of a layered defense architecture rather than a standalone tool, REACH pairs directly with Ondas’ Detect, Track, Identify (DTI) systems for target cueing. The system integrates into DefenseOS, the company’s open command-and-control software platform, allowing operators to manage the process from detection to decision to defeat within a single operational picture. In scenarios where non-kinetic effects are not sufficient, the architecture supports handoff to kinetic interception.

“Dronebuster® is one of the most widely fielded counter-drone systems in the world, and REACH extends that franchise into a segment customers are asking us to fill,” said Eric Brock, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ondas. “New products like this are how we convert an installed base and a strong pipeline into sustained demand across our C-UAS portfolio.”

The new long-range effector builds on the operational record of the Dronebuster family, which is the only American-made handheld system of its kind, fielded in more than 50 countries with over 3,000 units delivered worldwide. The system expands Ondas Inc.’s broader defense and autonomous technology ecosystem, which develops platforms across air, ground, and stratospheric environments to protect critical infrastructure, borders, transportation networks, personnel, and strategic assets. Ondas’ counter-UAS portfolio encompasses detection, non-kinetic defeat, and kinetic interception, featuring handheld effectors, vehicle kits, Sawtooth fixed-site protection, DefenseOS command-and-control software, and the IonStrike autonomous kinetic interceptor.
