Deep-tech developer Aeron Systems has closed a ₹45 Crore Pre-Series B funding round led by Riverwalk Holdings and MGF-Kavachh to scale manufacturing capacity and accelerate international expansion.

The capital injection will enable the company to expand manufacturing capabilities for advanced Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), accelerate research and development, meet increasing customer demand, and strengthen its presence in global markets. Founded in 2008 by two technology entrepreneurs, the Pune-based company specializes in high-reliability electronics, sensor fusion, and AI-driven technologies for aerospace, defense, automotive, environmental, and renewable energy applications. Over 18 years of operations, Aeron has deployed more than 10,000 inertial systems and 2,500 weather stations worldwide.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashvani Shukla, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Aeron Systems, said, “This investment marks an important milestone for Aeron Systems as we enter our next phase of growth. We are delighted to partner with investors who share our long-term vision of building globally competitive technologies from India while supporting the country’s strategic and technological self-reliance.”

Abhijeet Bokil, Co-founder and Managing Director remarked, “Aeron is at a stage of its journey, where this investment will support its vision of global expansion. This investment will bring Aeron’s proven customer-satisfaction in aerospace and renewable energy sectors and its expertise in sensing and navigation technologies to international customers, while also fortifying it’s manufacturing capabilities.”

Demand for resilient navigation and sensing technologies continues to grow as governments and commercial platforms face increasingly complex operational environments, including electronic warfare and satellite navigation signal disruption. Aeron’s indigenous product portfolio spans inertial navigation systems, air data computers, weather and environmental sensing solutions, flight test instrumentation, avionics, and resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) technologies.

These systems support aircraft, helicopters, unmanned platforms, missiles, armored vehicles, and naval platforms, and are currently deployed by defense and research institutions such as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the Indian Army, and the Indian Navy.

Abhishek Singh, Principal, Riverwalk Holdings, stated, “Aeron Systems is one of the most unique companies being built out of India. Over 18 years, the team has built a product stack that sits squarely at the intersection of two of the decade’s biggest global tailwinds. The first is inertial navigation for GPS-denied, spoofed, and jammed environments, where we are already seeing a sharp rise in such cases across defence and commercial platforms, a trend that will only accelerate as the adoption of EW increases in warfare. The second is making utility-scale solar adoption intelligent through a combined software and hardware stack. We are excited about the company’s global ambitions and its efforts to keep forward-integrating both stacks to capture more of the bill-of-materials cost per platform.”

Further elaborating on the investment, Air Chief Marshal (Retd.) R.K.S. Bhadauria, Chairman, Strategy & Oversight Board, MGF-Kavachh, said, “Modern defence platforms require technologies that can continue to operate reliably in contested environments. Aeron has built an impressive portfolio of indigenous capabilities across aerospace sensing and navigation, backed by strong engineering expertise and proven execution. Our investment reflects confidence in the company’s technology and leadership.”

According to Raj Sethia, Founder & Managing Partner, MGF-Kavachh, “Aeron represents the kind of sovereign-technology company that can help strengthen India’s strategic technology ecosystem. Beyond capital, we also hope to support Aeron with our deep sector expertise and help them scale globally.

“Aeron has demonstrated the ability to develop highly differentiated technologies for some of the country’s most demanding customers. The company has built a strong foundation, and we are excited to partner with the team as they accelerate the next phase of growth.”
