Klein Marine Systems has entered into a strategic partnership with Spry Technocon Pvt. Ltd., Teledyne Marine, and VideoRay to develop an integrated Unmanned Mine Countermeasure solution for the Indian Navy.

The collaboration brings together complementary capabilities in high-resolution side-scan sonar, underwater sensing, autonomous underwater vehicles, remotely operated vehicles, systems integration, and lifecycle support. Designed as a modular and scalable system, the solution is intended to support mine detection, classification, identification, and other critical operations to strengthen operational readiness in the region.

As part of the joint effort, Klein Marine Systems will contribute its U.S.-manufactured high-resolution side-scan sonar systems along with its technical integration expertise. This technology will operate in tandem with Teledyne Marine’s underwater sensing and autonomous systems, VideoRay’s deployable remotely operated vehicle capabilities, and Spry Technocon’s indigenous engineering and integration strengths.

Ted Curley, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Klein Marine Systems, said, “Klein Marine Systems has a long heritage in high-resolution sonar technologies and underwater imaging. We look forward to combining our expertise with our partners to deliver advanced unmanned mine countermeasure capabilities for India.”

By providing in-country engineering, system integration, suite-level manufacturing, and lifecycle support, Spry Technocon will help align the alliance with India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives. Together, the four partners aim to support the future of unmanned mine warfare in India through a comprehensive technology solution.
