Ascend Engineering has launched an initiative to provide dedicated project success consulting hours to all Dronecode Foundation member organizations.
Under this program, every member organization will receive 15 hours of expert consulting annually, with Platinum and Gold members also receiving priority requests for pull request reviews. The initiative is designed to help members start projects faster, minimize integration risks, and avoid diverting internal resources away from their primary focus.
This effort builds on the company’s established role within the open source aerial robotics community. As a Dronecode Silver Member, the official flight test provider for PX4, and the employer of multiple PX4 ecosystem maintainers, Ascend Engineering is positioned to assist members in building on PX4, Pixhawk, QGroundControl, MAVLink, and MAVSDK.
The announcement comes during a period of renewed enthusiasm and expanding investment in the drone industry from both commercial and government sectors. As the Dronecode Foundation’s membership pool continues to grow in response to this market traction, the demand for structured expert support is increasing.
Andrew Wilkins, Co-Founder and CEO of Ascend Engineering, commented, “Since I was elected to the Board of the Dronecode Foundation, my confidence in the open source drone ecosystem and PX4 has only grown. By supplying project success consulting hours for the Foundation, we can know for certain our investment in the ecosystem is benefitting the entire industry.”
The consulting hours are currently available to Dronecode members seeking technical support. For organizations that are not foundation members but require assistance developing or integrating products within the PX4 ecosystem, Ascend Engineering’s team of engineers and maintainers remains available for direct engagements.
