Portugal-based Beyond Vision, S.A. has executed a binding term sheet with Canadian-controlled defense drone platform Arcanus Aerial Systems Inc., granting the firm rights to manufacture, commercialize, and support Beyond Vision’s flagship unmanned aerial systems in Canada.
The agreement was signed by Beyond Vision CEO Dário Pedro on April 29, 2026, and by Arcanus Executive Vice-President Matthew Ewing on April 28, 2026. This milestone grants Arcanus immediate sovereign manufacturing rights over Canadian territory and Canadian-funded export sales, as well as non-competitive external sales upon notice. The domestic exclusivity is tied to an agreed annual royalty minimum, and the contract establishes joint ownership of process improvements, ensuring Arcanus owns all Canadian-originated modifications and integrations outright.
Beyond Vision’s rapid growth continues as an established European defense contractor with platforms currently deployed by NATO members, selected to participate in both the European Defence Agency’s inaugural Operational Experimentation Campaign (OPEX 2025) and the multinational REPMUS 2025 robotic-systems exercise.
Beyond Vision’s CEO Dário Pedro gave a statement on this agreement, which reads: “This partnership represents more than a manufacturing agreement. It combines Beyond Vision’s proven European UAV technology with Arcanus’ strong industrial and commercial presence in Canada, creating a long-term platform to deliver sovereign, AI- enabled aerial capabilities to the Canadian market and allied nations.”
Arcanus Aerial Systems Inc. is a Canadian-controlled, sovereign-supply-chain defense drone platform headquartered in Toronto. Through a curated portfolio of Technology Partnership Agreements — now augmented by the Beyond Vision license — Arcanus delivers battle-validated UAV solutions to NATO, Five Eyes, and allied end users, and is positioned as a full defense-stack aggregator.
Matthew Ewing, Executive Vice-President of the company, commented, “Beyond Vision is the kind of partner an investor cannot manufacture out of thin air — they are recognized in Brussels, awarded across Europe, trusted by NATO members, and proven in the field. To have them choose Arcanus as their Canadian licensee is a powerful third- party validation of everything we have been telling investors.”
Sandi Banerjee, President & Chief Operating Officer of Arcanus, added, “Canada’s ITAR- free posture, combined with Beyond Vision’s European credibility and our customer pipeline, creates a sovereign export channel that competitors cannot replicate. We are executing the playbook – partnership, production, purchase order, payment — and we are doing it in weeks, not quarters.”
