Beyond Vision BVQ404 Selected for Japan Counter-UAS Program

Japan’s Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency (ATLA) has selected Beyond Vision for its Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (Counter-UAS) Proof of Concept Program, with the company’s BVQ404 interceptor ranked first in the agency’s order of interest.

The BVQ404 was shortlisted among competing companies and placed as ATLA’s first priority. Evaluated under the agency’s Early Acquisition Program, the platform will undergo testing by Japan’s Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) as part of efforts to accelerate the evaluation and potential deployment of interceptor drones.

Engineered for rapid deployment and precision neutralization of hostile aerial threats, the BVQ404 is a compact, high-performance Counter-UAS interceptor. The drone is designed for speed, agility, and reliability, providing a last line of defense against fast-moving unmanned systems while maintaining a minimal logistical footprint.

Beyond Vision stated that the recognition from the Japanese Ministry of Defense reinforces the company’s international credibility and position within the global defense market.

Beyond Vision is presenting the interceptor and its counter-UAV capabilities at Farnborough International Airshow, Hall 0, Stand 0680, from July 20 to July 24
