Coptrz, a provider of drone solutions and services, has formed an exclusive partnership with Avy as its sole UK partner for the Emergency Services and Defence sectors, marking a major step forward in enabling long-endurance Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone operations across the UK.

As a result of this partnership, Coptrz will expand its portfolio beyond multirotor platforms to include Avy’s advanced fixed-wing systems, including the Avy Aera aircraft and Avy Dock, a fully integrated drone-in-a-box solution. Together, these technologies enable scalable, autonomous drone networks designed for critical missions.

The Avy Drone Network combines long-range aircraft with remotely operated docking stations, enabling drones to take off, land, charge and deploy without the need for personnel on site. With response times of as little as 30 seconds and the ability to operate multiple assets from a single command centre, organisations can gather aerial intelligence or deliver critical payloads efficiently. Powered by intelligent automation, the system supports automated flight operations, AI-driven image processing and scheduled mission routes.

The agreement opens up expanded opportunities for the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) and public sector organisations, supporting use cases such as logistics, medical delivery, and persistent Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). It also further positions Coptrz within sovereign and non-Chinese supply chain initiatives, which are becoming increasingly important in government and defence procurement decisions.

Coptrz, as the exclusive UK partner, is now uniquely positioned to pursue larger framework agreements and programme-level bids, while laying the groundwork for future BVLOS deployments and drone-in-a-box infrastructure across the country.

Simon Harris, Managing Director at Coptrz, comments, “This partnership with Avy represents a significant and exciting opportunity for Coptrz and our clients. As the exclusive UK partner, we are now able to support organisations in unlocking the full potential of BVLOS operations through Avy’s innovative drone network solutions. This collaboration allows us to deliver long-endurance, mission-ready capabilities that meet the evolving needs of Emergency Services and Defence, while reinforcing our commitment to providing secure, future-ready technologies.”

Benjamin van der Hilst, CEO of Avy, adds, “The UK represents a huge opportunity for Avy, and Coptrz is exactly the partner we need to seize it. Their commercial drone expertise and sector knowledge make them the perfect fit.”

Avy, headquartered in Amsterdam, is known for its pioneering approach to drone networks that combine aircraft, docking stations and software into a unified ecosystem. By partnering with Coptrz, Avy gains a trusted UK-based partner with expertise in regulatory navigation, training and operational deployment.
