Organizers of AERO Asia 2025, one of the leading business platforms for the general aviation (GA) industry and low-altitude economy, have revealed revised show dates and expanded plans for the upcoming event.

Originally scheduled for 6–9 November, the exhibition will now take place 27–30 November 2025 at the Zhuhai International Airshow Center, China. The adjustment avoids scheduling conflicts with other major domestic events and aims to ensure optimal conditions for flight demonstrations and exhibition operations.

Edward Che, Executive Director for Messe Frankfurt (Zhuhai) Airshow Co Ltd, said, “Following careful consideration and approval from the Ministry of Commerce, the organisers of AERO Asia decided to change the show dates to the end of November, ensuring better logistics, safety and trip planning for all show attendees.”

Reflecting the rapid expansion of China’s low-altitude economy, AERO Asia 2025 is set to double in scale compared to its debut edition. The event will span 60,000 square meters, host around 300 exhibitors, and feature 110+ aircraft on display. Organizers anticipate over 60,000 visitors under this year’s theme: “A New Era: Explore More.”

Edward Che added, “We are excited to bring an even more dynamic and impactful event this year. With expanded exhibition space, world-class forums, and thrilling aerial demonstrations, AERO Asia 2025 will set new benchmarks for the industry. We appreciate the continued support of our partners and look forward to welcoming attendees to explore a new era in aviation.”

The 2025 edition will place a strong emphasis on cutting-edge topics including autonomous systems, intelligent aviation technologies, and low-carbon solutions, areas of critical importance to the future of both manned and unmanned aviation.

A central feature of AERO Asia 2025 will be the second edition of the Sustainable Aviation Forum, jointly organized by Messe Frankfurt (Zhuhai) Airshow Co Ltd and Flying Pages GmbH, publisher of a renowned light aircraft industry index.

The forum will focus on:

  • Innovation in Chinese aviation technologies
  • Development of a sustainable industrial ecosystem
  • International technical cooperation and collaboration

It will serve as a high-level platform to promote the integration of China’s emerging sustainable aviation sector with the global market, encouraging cross-border business ties, investment, and technological leadership.

Key Topics at the Forum Include:

  • Electric Fixed-Wing Aircraft
  • Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) Aircraft
  • Electric Propulsion Systems, Energy Sources & Supply Chains
  • Aviation Certification & Regulatory Frameworks
  • Air Traffic Management & Infrastructure
  • Commercial Applications & Business Models

The forum directly supports China’s carbon neutrality targets, highlighting sustainable aviation as a crucial pillar of the country’s green transition.

International pavilions from Europe, Canada, and Korea will showcase advanced aviation technologies, joining a broader exhibitor base organized into five core areas:

  • Business Jets / UL / VLA / LSA
  • Rotorcraft (Helicopters & Vertical Category Aircraft)
  • Unmanned Systems & Smart Application Scenarios
  • Engines & Green Aviation Energy
  • Infrastructure / MRO / Services / Components

The show will also host fly-ins, aircraft demonstrations, and technical showcases across all four days, providing attendees with first-hand insight into innovations driving the low-altitude economy.

China’s low-altitude economy, which includes both manned and unmanned aviation activities within airspace below 3,000 meters for crewed and 1,000 meters for uncrewed systems, is undergoing rapid development to support next-generation urban and rural transportation.

This evolving sector includes technologies and operations relating to eVTOL and eCTOL aircraft, UAVs (drones), and autonomous air mobility platforms. According to projections by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the sector is expected to grow more than five-fold to reach RMB 3.5 trillion (approx. USD 483 billion) by 2035.

AERO Asia 2025 is officially approved by China’s Ministry of Commerce and is guided by leading aviation entities including:

  • Aviation Industry Corporation of China Ltd (AVIC)
  • Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd (COMAC)
  • Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC)

The event is co-organized by Zhuhai Airshow Group Co Ltd and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, and hosted by Messe Frankfurt (Zhuhai) Airshow Co Ltd.

As part of the globally recognized AERO brand, AERO Asia complements major international GA shows such as AERO Friedrichshafen in Germany and AERO South Africa, strengthening the global footprint of general aviation and unmanned systems innovation across the Asia-Pacific region.
