Discover cutting-edge solutions from 14 leading global suppliers
XPONENTIAL Europe 2025, to be held at Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre from 18-20 February, is set to highlight the advantages of 5G innovation for uncrewed systems and robotics.
Vodafone, official connectivity partner of XPONENTIAL Europe, will set up a private 5G campus network in Hall 1 at the event. This infrastructure will enable exhibitors to present their technologies under real-world conditions, live, interactive, and with minimal latency.
The 5G Campus network provided by Vodafone will provide multiple benefits to exhibitors, including:
- Maximum speed and minimum latency: Perfect for real-time demos, AR/VR applications, and IoT technologies.
- Maximum data security: All data remains completely within the trade fair infrastructure.
- Reliable coverage: Up to eight antennas ensure a stable connection in Hall 1.
- Edge computing: Data is processed directly on site, quickly and efficiently.
- Dedicated infrastructure: Developed exclusively for XPONENTIAL Europe, the network offers optimum conditions for complex applications.
Visitors to the Vodafone stand will be able to experience first-hand how autonomous systems, IoT, and drone technologies are enhancing various industries. With control methods such as VR-supported gesture interaction and high-performance industrial drone solutions, Vodafone will demonstrate the versatility of the real-time network.
Additional displays include a helicopter-style industrial drone that can achieve flight times of up to two and a half hours and speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour, a drone arm that facilitates the take-off and landing of drones in difficult weather conditions, and the latest solutions for localizing or controlling drones.
Visitors can also experience these solutions for themselves in an immersive virtual environment to discover the future of automation first-hand.
Michael Bösinger, Head of TETP at Vodafone GmbH, commented, “Real-time mobile communication reacts as quickly as the human nervous system and is the driving force behind autonomous cars, robots and processes in small and large factory halls. This technology will be brought to life in an impressive way at XPONENTIAL Europe.”
Wolfram N. Diener, CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, added, “We are delighted to be able to celebrate a premiere at our exhibition centre with the use of the 5G Campus network. This infrastructure takes the technological equipment at our events to the next level and the cooperation with Vodafone shows the innovative power a collaboration between two Düsseldorf companies can leverage.”
