Discover cutting-edge solutions from leading global suppliers
Terra Drone Corporation is releasing a new in-house developed indoor inspection drone, Terra Xross 1, in both Japan and the United States.
The Terra Xross 1 is designed to address indoor inspection challenges, such as dangerous working environments and operational cost inefficiencies. Built for a wide range of industries and applications, the new inspection drone is ideal for infrastructure inspection, mining mapping, disaster survey, and security monitoring.
Key Features of the Terra Xross 1
The Terra Xross 1 is equipped with both visual odometry sensors and LiDAR, allowing it to perform reliably even in cramped, dark, or dusty conditions. It can switch between these functions as needed to maintain stability and accuracy.
Affordability is another key advantage. Optimized development and manufacturing processes enable the drone to be priced under $25,000 USD—reportedly one-third the cost of many existing indoor inspection drones.
The drone offers extended flight time through an optional tethering module. This feature eliminates concerns about power depletion and crash risks, allowing for continuous operation and improved efficiency during inspections.
The Terra Xross 1 also includes a 180° tiltable 4K camera and an LED light. This ensures high-quality image and video capture, even in low-light indoor environments, enhancing visibility and detail.
Streamlined data management is another core feature. Inspection data can be uploaded to a cloud system, where it is seamlessly linked to 3D data, along with associated cloud point and video data. This enables quick and efficient sharing of inspection results.
With Terra Xross 1, Terra Drone asserts that the company is continuing its commitment to driving safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, while unlocking new possibilities for users of all experience levels in the indoor inspection industry.
